DKD calibration laboratory
High-power test laboratory

The direct connection of the Fuse test laboratory to the 220 kV network by means of a powerful test transformer guarantees stable currents and constant frequency – even during tests combining high power and long duration.

Currents and voltages
Up to 160 kA peak current
Up to 63 kA rms alternating current component
Up to 600 MVA short-circuit power
1 kV to 40 kV flexibly adjustable test voltage

Testing techniques
High-precision making of current (± 30 µs) and thus precise control of direct current component through ‘making switch’
Special measuring sensors

Digital systems for measurement data acquisition and processing
Negligible measurement uncertainty
Large measuring signal bandwidth with negligible interference
Rapid availability of measuring and evaluation results

High-speed video recordings in colour
500 or 1.000 frames per second
Ideal supplement to the test document
Vivid view of test set-up and test performance
Digital re-treatment
Re-recording on desired video format (e.g. PAL, SECAM, NTSC, digital)

Roofed test cells

Outdoor test area 90m x 30m x 18m
(L x B x portal height)
